Heading into Aachen, Aesar Alwajba of Al Wajba Stud leads the overall race with 90 points, just one point ahead of Shalwa Al Adwan of Aljumail Stud on 89 points, setting the stage for a decisive conclusion to the competition.
Aesar Alwajba has enjoyed an impressive season, claiming three Gold Championships, one Silver and one fourth-place finish. His fourth-place result in London tightened the competition at the top, leaving just one point between him and Shalwa Al Adwan heading into Aachen.
Only a Gold Championship in Aachen will guarantee Aesar Alwajba the 2026 Horse of the Tour title. Any other result will leave the final outcome dependent on Shalwa Al Adwan’s performance, with the mare needing to finish one position ahead of Aesar to claim the Horse of the Tour title.
Shalwa Al Adwan enters Aachen following a consistently strong season of her own, having secured two Gold Championships, two Silver Championships and one Bronze.
