London, 16/08/2026 — The Global Champions Arabians Tour (GCAT) concluded its second consecutive London edition this weekend, bringing three days of Arabian horse competition to the historic grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea from 14 to 16 August 2026. Free and open to the public, the event welcomed thousands of visitors across the weekend, combining elite international competition with a celebration of entertainment, food, fashion and Arabian horse heritage.
Having first arrived at the Royal Hospital Chelsea in 2025, London has now confirmed its place as a recurring fixture on the GCAT calendar. This year’s edition built on that foundation, drawing breeders and owners from around the world to compete for a share of $636,000 in championship prize money.
A Weekend for Everyone
With free entry to the public, GCAT London 2026 opened its doors to a wide audience, transforming the Royal Hospital Chelsea into a summer destination for the whole family. Alongside the international competition, visitors enjoyed:
- A curated food & beverage village, featuring a range of stalls offering Feya’s specialty coffee, How Matcha’s ceremonial grade matcha drinks, Qatari grown dates from Qinwan, freshly made burgers from Burgeri, and much more.

Championship Highlights
D Shahhar of Dubai Arabian Horse Stud continued his remarkable undefeated run, stealing the Gold Championship in London with his exceptional beauty and presence. With his winning streak still intact, all eyes will now be on whether he can carry this extraordinary form through the remaining stages and ultimately to the World Championship Supreme.
Another standout moment came in the Senior Mares Championship, where D Dhayrah of Almirqab Farm delivered an impressive performance to claim the Gold Senior Mare Championship.
London also marked the highly anticipated return of Haboob Ajmal of Ajmal Stud, making his first appearance of the year and returning to the arena in outstanding condition.
Adding another element of surprise to an already thrilling competition, Ajman Stud unveiled HDF Izabella, an exciting new Brazilian-bred filly who immediately captured attention in London, marking an impressive introduction and a new name to watch as the season progresses.
