The Global Champions Arabians Tour’s first American stop gets underway tomorrow in Scottsdale, Arizona. The first of a five-stage new series, the Americas will follow GCAT’s unique format that has proved highly successful across Europe and the Middle East over the past year.
Taking please in the City Tent, WestWorld, the show features over 140 purebred Arabian horses competing for a share of the $270,000 prize money, and the all-important ranking points towards the GCAT’s ‘Best Female’, ‘Best Male’, ‘Best Handler’ and ‘Horse of the Tour’ awards that will be decided at the final stage in Las Vegas this September.
The show starts at 10:00 local time on February 18 with the qualifying classes and continues on February 20 from 18:00 with the championships. General admission is free of charge.
Aside from the competition, spectators are set to experience the full GCAT experience, with authentic entertainment and retail outlets alongside world-class hospitality.
